Business Choice Awards Nominations have begun

PITTSBURGH – The Pittsburgh business community is welcoming back the Business Choice Awards, a program designed to recognize the impact that extraordinary area businesses have made in the past year in the Pittsburgh region.

This award, created by DoYouKnowAGood.com, provides people with the opportunity to recognize their favorite Pittsburgh-area business by nominating them at BusinessChoiceAwards.com. Over 80 business categories are available from marketing and human resources to network IT systems and software development and any business’ information can be entered into the nomination platform as long as they have operations in the Pittsburgh Region.

Once a nominee has been accepted, the business can fill out the entire profile, then continue to edit their profile, sharing their information with their customers, clients, and the public in order to gain votes. Voting for the Business Choice Awards will begin on April 1, 2019, and will end on May 1, 2019.

The business with the most votes received will be named the winner of their category. Winners will be announced at the Business Choice Awards event on May 14th, 2019 at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center. Each winner in each category will receive a Business Choice Award. All winners and 10 runner-up businesses will be invited to attend the event at the Show. Business Choice Award Winners will be recognized on the main stage, in the show program, and online throughout the year on social media and the Business Choice Awards website.

VeriCheck, a woman-owned background check service, won a Business Choice Award in the Background Check category in 2018. “I’ve been in the business of doing background checks for 22 years and have worked very hard to maintain my clients by providing excellent service. It was such an honor and personal accomplishment for me to win this award. I would like to thank Linda Jo and her husband Bryan Thornberg for putting the time and effort into the Business Choice Awards, allowing businesses to network and be rewarded for all their hard work,” said Patty DiPietro, owner of VeriCheck. Since the Show, Patty said she had the opportunity to reach out and work some of the other Business Choice Award winners.

The Pittsburgh North Regional Chamber won a Business Choice Award in 2018. “It was an honor to be chosen as the recipient of the Pittsburgh Business Choice Award for Chambers of Commerce. There are so many strong and active Chambers in the Pittsburgh area, we are extremely thankful for being chosen by the area’s business professionals for this award,” said Jim Boltz, President of the Pittsburgh North Regional Chamber. Jim said they are excited to be part of the Show again this year.

The public is invited to attend the Business Choice Awards on May 14 and to network afterward to meet, mingle, and celebrate with the winners and other business owners at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center.

The Show, Pittsburgh’s largest networking event, will be held on May 14 and May 15, 2019, will be held at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center. This business-for-business trade show is designed to provide attendees with the opportunity to learn from industry experts, participate in one-of-a-kind networking events, and build relationships with the people who can help their business succeed.
