2018 Pittsburgh Business Show Call for Speakers Announced

Dan Harmon

Following the success of its inaugural trade show, the Pittsburgh Business Show announces a call for speakers for its second annual event, to be held at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center in downtown Pittsburgh on April 25-26, 2018.

The vision of the Pittsburgh Business Show is to help build partnerships, bring professionals together for networking, and create opportunities for new and existing businesses. By joining resources, industry, and people from the region and connecting them with others, businesses in and around the tri-state area have the opportunity to gain a foothold, then grow and flourish, in the region. The 2017 Pittsburgh Business Show welcomed 150 exhibitors and thousands of attendees.

The 2018 Pittsburgh Business Show is looking for experts and thought-leaders who would like to share engaging information and resources, lead workshops, provide business education and training, and increase their visibility.

“The Pittsburgh Business Show is a one-of-a-kind trade show, professional development series, and networking event. We are looking for speakers who understand the challenges that await business owners in the next decade and who want to share their success while helping to guide entrepreneurs and business leaders,” said Linda Jo Thornberg, President of the Pittsburgh Business Show.

In particular, the Show is looking for topics that relate to developing strategic planning; building successful teams; creating a personal brand; measuring results; pinpointing emerging practices, products, and techniques; presenting case studies; and transforming the customer experience. Other topic suggestions are welcome as well.

Speakers are invited to present their own workshop on one of the Show’s five exhibitor-floor stages, or can run workshops at their exhibitor booths on their own schedule. A speaker proposal is available for download on the Pittsburgh Business Show website speaker page. Questions should be directed to the Pittsburgh Business Show team at 412-668-4990. Proposals are due on January 15, 2018.

Additionally, every speaker is invited to choose a charity to promote and sponsor prior to and during the Show. Ticket sales that generate funds from individual speaker presentations will be donated to their charity of choice.

Attendees can purchase one-day or two-day tickets from the Pittsburgh Business Show website at www.PittsburghBusinessShow.com. Currently, the website features early registration specials for attendees and exhibitors. To stay up-to-date on 2018 Pittsburgh Business Show news, visit www.PittsburghBusinessShow.com.
