The Pittsburgh Business Show is proud to announce that the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) will be an exhibitor at our 2018 business networking and trade show event in Western PA.  They will have the opportunity to network with businesses and industry leaders in the area. As an exhibitor, they will also have the opportunity to grow their presence and outreach in the Pittsburgh area.

On a Mission to Save Lives and Bring Hope to Those Affected by Suicide

The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention was established in 1987 as a voluntary health organization that provides a nationwide community to those affected by suicide. Powered by education, research, and advocacy, the organization works to act against this leading cause of death. The organization is led by CEO Robert Gebbia and headquartered in New York. They also have public policy office in Washington, D.C. and have local chapters in all 50 states, holding programs and events nationwide. AFSP works to educate the public about mental health and suicide prevention, supports survivors of suicide loss and those affected by suicide. They also advocate for public policies related to mental health and suicide prevention and help to fund scientific research. The Pittsburgh Business Show will be walking in the Out of the Darkness Community Walk being held August 25^th at Highmark Stadium in Station Square.
