Pittsburgh Business Pitch Launched

The Pittsburgh Business Show, the largest business event and trade show in the region, is pleased to be bringing back the Pittsburgh Business Pitch for the second year in a row.  This program serves to help provide a life-changing opportunity to start-up business owners within the Pittsburgh area.

Serving as one of the area’s first startup business pitch programs, the Pittsburgh Business Pitch provides entrepreneurs who have start-up business concepts with support and services from event sponsors. These services are valued at tens of thousands of dollars and can help these start-up business owners bring their concepts to life.

To nominate your amazing business idea, you must live within the 10- county western Pennsylvania region. You can nominate yourself or other entrepreneurs by filling out a form. For those who nominate themselves or someone they know, they will be asked to pitch their concept by submitting a business name, business concept, contact information, and their vision.

After nominations are received, 12 finalists will be chosen. On May 14 and 15 at the Pittsburgh Business Show, these 12 business concept finalists will be provided with a booth on the main floor where they will have the opportunity to present their business idea to attendees, exhibitors, and Pitch sponsors.

Finalists are encouraged to share their business concepts on social media to gain more votes from the community, business executives, creatives, investors, friends, and other entrepreneurs. All Show attendees will have the opportunity to cast votes for their favorite business concept using text-to-vote technology provided by Fyre, a Pittsburgh-based business who supported the Show last year.

The start-up concept who receives the most total votes will be presented with the Pittsburgh Business Pitch award on the Pittsburgh Business Show’s main stage on May 15th. The winning entrepreneur will be provided with support and services to help them launch their brand and business.
