On Friday, September 27th, Linda Jo Thornberg, President of the Pittsburgh Business Show and ’02 Edinboro University of PA (EU) Alumna, will join a panel of EU professors and leaders to be recognized in the “I’m First” Speaker Series at Edinboro University of PA.
The Edinboro University Speaker Series serves to recognize and support students who are the first in their families to earn a bachelor’s degree. As part of this speaker series, Linda Jo will present her journey from EU to her professional success as a business owner through her first-generation perspective.
Linda Jo will present her journey at the Learning Commons classroom from 12:00 – 1:00 pm on September 27th at Edinboro University. Edinboro’s speaker series celebrates the accomplishments of first-generation EU students and alumni as well as the unique strengths first -generations students and alumni bring to the campus community.
Linda Jo serves as a mentor at EU through the ATHENA Connections College Leadership Program and also serves on the Strategic Communication Alumni Advisory Board at EU which serves as a resource for the Department of Communication, Journalism, & Media at the university.
With her communication and leadership background from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania, Linda Jo continues to further her passion for helping small businesses through the Pittsburgh Business Show by building partnerships, bringing professionals in the region together, and creating opportunities for new and existing businesses.
