Micah S. Caporali is the supplier diversity manager at Covestro, a leading producer of advanced polymers and high-performance plastics, located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Micah is a graduate of Liberty University where he received a Bachelor of Science in Business Finance, and he is also a graduate of Waynesburg University where he received an MBA in Project Management.
After graduating from Liberty, Micah launched his career in the public sector working in Washington D.C. with Department of Homeland Security, Customs and Border Protection, as a financial analyst. With his hometown close to his heart, Micah relocated back to Pittsburgh working as a financial analyst for Bayer HealthCare. With financial experience in both the private and public sectors, Micah made a bold move to join Bayer MaterialScience, now Covestro, as a Procurement Solutions Expert. Micah’s financial background along with his skillset in strategies and KPIs, data analysis, and processes and procedures allow him to effectively support Procurement in the Americas region.
At Covestro, Micah also serves as the co-chair for the company’s LGBTQ employee resource group. In 2018, Covestro appointed Micah to manage the supplier diversity program. Micah’s background in procurement along with his passion for diversity and inclusion is a perfect combination for his role as the supplier diversity manager.
Outside of the office, Micah enjoys running, biking, and volunteering at the Pittsburgh Food Bank. He is married and resides in Robinson Township, Pennsylvania.
